Tuesday, July 08, 2025, and the world is sending out thoughts and prayers for Jamie Foxx. We’re hearing that the beloved actor remains in a Georgia hospital, nearly a week after his daughter, Corinne Foxx, shared news of a “medical complication” that landed him there.
Last week, Corinne took to Instagram to reassure fans that her dad was in good hands. She explained that the incident occurred last Tuesday but offered no specifics. She did, however, emphasize the “quick action and great care” that had been provided, adding that he was “on his way to recovery.”
As of Monday, sources familiar with the situation confirmed to CNN that Foxx is still receiving treatment. While details remain scarce, the initial reports that surfaced last week indicated the actor was undergoing various medical tests.
Foxx was in Atlanta working on the set of the Netflix film “Back in Action” with Cameron Diaz. A source previously told CNN that whatever happened, it didn’t take place on set and Foxx wasn’t rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
Interestingly, production on “Back in Action” seems to be pressing forward. A separate source connected to the film’s production told CNN that filming is “currently underway” and is expected to wrap up this week. Whether Foxx still needs to shoot more scenes, or if he’ll be able to return to the set, remains unclear at this time.
