LAGOS — The family of Pastor Christian Nnaemeka has been thrown into turmoil following his mysterious disappearance three weeks ago. According to his wife, Mrs. Motunrayo Nnaemeka, the 43-year-old pastor went missing on June 6, 2025, and has not been seen or heard from since.
“He had been restless for days before his disappearance,” she said during a tearful interview. “He was praying through the night of June 5 and mentioned he wasn’t feeling well. On June 6, we went to church together, and our pastor prayed for him. The plan was to stay for a vigil later that evening.”
Strange Behavior Before Disappearance
Mrs. Nnaemeka narrated that after church that morning, they had planned to retrieve some belongings from their previous apartment. However, Pastor Nnaemeka changed his mind and returned to the church with their daughter, while she went home with their son.
“We kept in touch on the phone,” she said. “But when I asked him to come home so we could return to church later, he said our daughter didn’t want to leave and kept crying. I was surprised by how seriously he was taking her behavior.”
When she returned to the church, she found her husband and daughter alone in the baptistery, with the little girl playing in the water. “He said that’s what she wanted. I was shocked. When I asked him to leave, he refused until the pastor helped convince him.”
Final Moments and Disappearance
The situation escalated, according to Mrs. Nnaemeka, when her husband tried to cross the expressway with their daughter. “I had to physically take her from him,” she said. “Then he tried to board a bus, but suddenly he ran off. That was the last time I saw him.”
She confirmed that no ransom has been demanded, and his disappearance remains a mystery. The family is appealing to the public for any information that could help locate him.
