Recruitment Portal Back Online for Civil Defence, Immigration & More!

It’s Monday, July 21, 2025, and if you’ve been eagerly waiting to apply for a position with the Civil Defence, Immigration, or other paramilitary services, you can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The recruitment portal, after experiencing some hiccups, is back up and running.

The Civil Defence, Immigration and Prisons Service Board (CDIPB) announced late last night that the portal is open again, and applicants who started the application process previously can now jump back in and finish up.

Remember the initial launch of the portal on July 14th? Yeah, things got a little… crowded. The sheer volume of eager applicants trying to access the site caused some frustrating interruptions. The CDIPB wisely took the portal offline on July 17th to give it a much-needed tune-up, ensuring a smoother experience for everyone.

This portal is your gateway to opportunities with four important agencies: the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.

The CDCFIB understands the passion and dedication young Nigerians have to serve their country and wants to ensure a fair and transparent recruitment process. They also apologized for the inconvenience, but emphasized that the temporary closure was crucial in the long run, allowing them to upgrade the system to accommodate all hopeful candidates.

So, if you’ve been waiting patiently (or impatiently!), now’s the time to revisit the portal and get your application in. Best of luck to everyone!
