Former Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate Nelly Mbonu has expressed her belief that her colleague, Kassia, was responsible for ending her friendship with her husband, Kellyrae.
During the reality TV show, Nelly and Kellyrae shared a close bond, especially before he disclosed to the housemates that they were married. In the latest episode of the reunion show, Nelly addressed the current state of her relationship with Kellyrae, stating that their friendship has ended and placing the blame squarely on Kassia.
Nelly explained that her fallout with Kassia occurred on the show after Kassia misled her. She recounted how Kassia claimed that Onyeka had said something negative about her, a statement Nelly later discovered was merely a product of Kassia’s imagination. “It never for once felt like me and Kellyrae had issues,” she said.
When host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu inquired, “So, when did you notice [his change of attitude towards you]?” Nelly responded, “Obviously, it’s the wife.” Kassia interjected, “Hmm? You stopped talking to him. What do you mean by, ‘obviously, it’s the wife’?”
Nelly, visibly annoyed, retorted, “Can you shut up and let me speak? … Anyway, like I was saying, the wife obviously had issues with me in the house [on the show] because I told Onyeka you said something that you told me Onyeka told you. That thing you told me, you were so confident that Onyeka said it, but you never told me that it was just your instincts.”
Kassia defended herself, saying, “I said two things. Onyeka said the first one; the second one was my instincts. Maybe you didn’t understand.”
